The Government of India’s Ministry of Law and Justice has decided to prepare a revised draft of the Advocate (Amendment) Bill, 2025, for fresh consultation. The initial draft was released for public consultation on February 13, 2025, on the Department of Legal Affairs website. Given the numerous suggestions and concerns received, the consultation process will now be concluded, and the revised draft will be reprocessed for stakeholder consultation.
