ICAI released Handbook on Reverse Charge under GST, (February 2025) edition

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the February 2025 edition of the “Handbook on Reverse Charge under GST.” The Indian GST system is known for its forward-looking and flexible nature, with continuous improvements aimed at simplifying compliance for businesses. The GST Council regularly reviews tax rates, exemptions, and other aspects of the framework. The increasing revenue and expanding taxpayer base highlight the system’s effectiveness. ICAI has actively supported the government by providing suggestions on GST development, both pre- and post-implementation, and through its GST & Indirect Taxes Committee, offers technical publications, newsletters, webinars, certificate courses, and conferences. The revised “Handbook on Reverse Charge under GST” presents concepts and procedures in an easy-to-understand manner, providing comprehensive guidance for registered persons liable for reverse charge payments. The publication is updated to reflect changes up to February 1, 2025.
