The CBIC vide Notification No. 21/2025-Customs (N.T.) dated April 03, 2025, notifies the Export Entry (Post Export Conversion in Relation to Instrument Based Scheme) Regulations, 2025, supersede the 2022 regulations. Exporters can apply in writing for conversion of export entry to an instrument-based scheme within one year of goods clearance, extendable by the jurisdictional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner of Customs for up to six months each, under specific conditions. Applications filed before February 22, 2022 have a one-year period from the regulations’ commencement. Conversion requires fulfillment of scheme conditions, no contraventions or investigations, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
