The Ministry of Finance has issued Notification No. 50/2024-Customs dated December 30, 2024 to amend Notification No. 62/2022-Customs, originally published on December 26, 2022. This amendment gives effect to the fourth tranche of tariff concessions under the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA). It substitutes Table I in the earlier notification to implement the changes. The notification, made under Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, aims to serve public interest and will take effect from January 1, 2025.
