The CBIC vide Notification No. 01/2025-Customs (N.T.) dated January 14, 2025, amends its earlier notification No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.) issued on April 2, 1997. This amendment, under the Customs Act, 1962, adds Virochannagar, Ahmedabad, to the list of approved customs ports in Gujarat. It authorizes Virochannagar for the unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods, or any specific class of such goods, enhancing its role in customs operations.
