The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Saturday produced traders Shiv Kumar Deora, Mohit Deora and Amit Gupta, who were arrested in the Rs 800-crore goods and services tax (GST) scam, in the special PMLA court and forwarded them to jail.
Sources in the ED said the trio were arrested in Kolkata after questioning on Friday. The probe agency searched nine places in Jharkhand and West Bengal and nabbed Amit Agrawal on Thursday.
The next hearing in the case would take place on May 13.
ED officials said the accused allegedly generated Rs 14,325 crore fake invoices, resulting in ineligible input tax credit claims of over Rs 800 crore under GST.
