Rajasthan GST Dept of notifies Revised List of Proper Officers

The Commercial Taxes Department of the Government of Rajasthan has issued a revised list of the Proper Officer for the Rajasthan State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) vide Notification No. [F.17(228)ACCT/GST/2023/13924982 on March 03, 2025. This revised list the territorial jurisdictions and responsibilities of the officers in charge of several SGST-related tasks.

The Chief Commissioner of State Tax, Rajasthan, has designated the functions to be carried out under the Act by a proper officer or authorized officer under various sections/rules of the said Act/Rules, as mentioned in the entries in columns 2 and 3 of Schedule-I and described in the corresponding entries in column 4 of the said Schedule, to the Proper/Authorized Officer specified in the corresponding entries in column 5, subject to the conditions mentioned in column number 7. The functions assigned shall be performed only within their territorial jurisdiction, unless otherwise specified in column number 6 of the said Schedule, and subject to the financial limitations specified in Schedule-II or column 6 of Schedule-I of the order.

This announcement ensures clarity in administrative tasks by outlining the precise areas allotted to each officer. Under the SGST Act, officers are assigned to a variety of tasks, such as assessment, audit, enforcement, and anti-evasion.
