MCA extends deadline for DIR-3 KYC Filings

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced an extension for the filing of e-form DIR-3 KYC and web-form DIR-3-KYC-WEB. Stakeholders will now have until October 31, 2025, to complete these filings without incurring a fee.

This decision, communicated via General Circular No. 05/2025 dated October 15, 2025, follows up on the Ministry’s previous General Circular No. 04/2025 dated September 29, 2025. The extension aims to provide additional time for all concerned parties, including directors, regional directors, registrars of companies, and other stakeholders, to ensure compliance.

The directive comes with the approval of the Competent Authority and is signed by Chiradeep Balooni, Deputy Director, who oversees the CL-I Section. The Ministry’s e-governance section has been requested to place this circular on the official website for public access.

This move is expected to offer relief to many companies and individuals who may still be in the process of fulfilling their KYC obligations for directors.
