
India’s cumulative exports (merchandise and services) from April-January 2024-25 reached USD 682.59 billion, up 7.21% from the previous year. Merchandise exports alone grew 1.39% to USD 358.91 billion. In January 2025, non-petroleum exports surged 14.47% to USD 32.86 billion, while non-petroleum and non-gems & jewellery exports rose 14.33% to USD 29.87 billion. Key drivers of this growth were electronic goods (up 78.97%), engineering goods (up 7.44%), drugs & pharmaceuticals (up 21.46%), rice (up 44.61%), and gems & jewellery (up 15.95%).
