The Income Tax Department has launched a new feature on the e-Filing portal called “Request for Order Giving Effect,” allowing taxpayers to apply for appeal effect orders directly from their tax profile. This initiative aims to streamline tax compliance by making the appeal effect process more efficient and transparent. Taxpayers can now raise requests online for orders pending with the tax department, eliminating the need for physical visits to the Assessing Officer. The process is simple: log in, go to Services, select the request option, and submit the required details. This feature is applicable for orders issued by various authorities, including JCIT(A)/CIT(A)/NFAC, ITAT, High Court, Supreme Court, and others.
