The Income Tax Department has released updated utilities for filing Income Tax Returns. The ITR-5 utility (Version 1.1.2, 27.2 MB), meant for persons other than individuals, HUFs, companies, and those filing Form ITR-7, was last updated on 02-Oct-2025. Similarly, the ITR-6 utility (Version 1.1.1, 27.5 MB), applicable for companies other than those claiming exemption under section 11, was also updated on 02-Oct-2025. Taxpayers are advised to download and use the latest versions available on the Income Tax e-Filing portal for accurate return filing.
