The Income Tax Department has released the Offline Utility for ITR-5 for Assessment Year 2026-27 on the e-Filing portal. The latest update was made available on 07 August 2026.
The Department has released Windows Utility Version 1.0.0 (41.7 MB) and Mac Utility Version 1.0.0 (69.0 MB). The Excel-Based Utility Version 1.3 (13.8 MB) has also been updated on 07 August 2026.
The relevant JSON Schema, Schema Change Document Version 1.1, and Validation files are also available on the portal. Taxpayers and tax professionals are advised to use the latest utilities and technical files while preparing and filing ITR-5 for AY 2026-27.
