Important GST Portal Update: Window Open for Opting into Composition Scheme for FY 2026–27

Procedure to Apply

Taxpayers intending to switch to the Composition Scheme can complete the process by following these steps on the GST Portal:

  • Log in to the GST Portal
  • Navigate to: Services → Registration → Application to Opt for Composition Levy
  • File Form CMP-02 to formally opt in for the upcoming financial year

This simple, fully digital process is aimed at enhancing taxpayer convenience and reducing compliance burden for small and medium-sized businesses.

Last Date for Submission

The deadline for filing Form CMP-02 is:

  • 31st March 2026
