Implementation of “Agreement” signed between FSSAI, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Bhutan Food and Drug Authority (BFDA)

The CBIC issued Instruction No. 14/2025-Customs dated June 05, 2025, regarding the Implementation of “Agreement” signed between FSSAI, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Bhutan Food and Drug Authority (BFDA).

Reference is invited to the CBIC Instruction No. 22/2024-Customs dated 16.10.2024 and FSSAI Office Order dated 19.05.2025 issued from File No: TIC/1/2024-IMPORTS-FSSAI (copy attached) on the above subject.

Vide the aforesaid Office Order dated 19.05.2025, the FSSAI has shared the updated list of 117 approved establishment of Bhutan with scope of approval (copy enclosed). It may be noted that there is no change in the format of the Health Certificate or in the list of authorized signatories previously communicated. All other compliance requirements remain unchanged.

It is requested that necessary action may be taken to sensitize officers under your jurisdiction regarding the said matter. The ear lier Instruction No. 22/2024-Customs dated 16.10.2024 stands partially modified to the above extent. 4. The difficulties, if any, may be brought to the notice of the Board.
