
In a significant step towards enhancing taxpayer facilitation and ensuring smoother access to appellate remedies under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime, the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), Surat Bench vide Public Notice No. 02/2026 dated 16 June 2026, establishes a dedicated Helpdesk for the benefit of taxpayers, departmental authorities, authorized representatives and other stakeholders.
The Helpdesk has been set up at the premises of the GSTAT, Surat Bench, located at 1st Floor, Solarium Business Centre, Near SMC Garden, VIP Road, Vesu, Surat – 395007 (Gujarat). The initiative is aimed at providing guidance and procedural support to stakeholders interacting with the Tribunal.
The Helpdesk will assist stakeholders in addressing queries, obtaining clarifications and resolving procedural issues relating to the filing of appeals and applications before the GSTAT. The facility is expected to improve accessibility and facilitate efficient compliance with appellate procedures.
The Helpdesk shall function on all working days between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Stakeholders are encouraged to utilize this facility for obtaining timely assistance on matters connected with appeal filing and related procedures before the Tribunal.
To ensure wider outreach and awareness, Trade and Industry Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Tax Bar Associations and other Professional Bodies have been requested to give extensive publicity to the initiative and disseminate the information among their members and constituents.
The establishment of the Helpdesk reflects the commitment of the GST Appellate Tribunal towards stakeholder facilitation, transparency and ease of access to justice under the GST framework.
This Public Notice has been issued with the approval of the Hon’ble Vice President, GSTAT, Ahmedabad.
