The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for January 2025 reached Rs 1,95,506 crore, marking a 12.3% increase on a year-on-year basis.
In the preceding month, India’s GST collections saw a 10.9% rise to Rs 1,77,653 crore in December 2024 compared to the same month in the previous year. This growth followed an 8.7% increase in November 2024. Factors such as the post-festive season slump and a slowdown in consumption may have influenced these trends.
