The Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence (DGGI) Jaipur unit conducted raids at 10 locations of a garment trader for evading GST involving crores of rupees. Several raids were conducted at the residence of Motiani family, their relatives and business associates dealing in women’s apparel in the name of Lavina Textile and Radha Rani. Officials reached the trader’s house in Santosh Sagar Colony in the morning. Initially, they were stopped from entering the house and the family tried to tamper with the documents but they could not succeed. Besides, officials also took action in Sawarda Complex, Dhula House, Sanganer, Mansarovar and Sitapura Industrial Area, etc. in Jaipur. Stock verification at the showrooms in the fruit market area near Dhula House got completed by late night. Readymade garment and kurti manufacturers and traders deposited Rs 1 crore during the raids.
