The DGFT vide Public Notice No. 01/2025-26 dated April 03, 2025, has released the updated list of banks authorized to import gold/silver for FY 2025-26. Axis Bank, Bank of India, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICBC, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Punjab National Bank, RBL Bank, SBI, and Yes Bank can import both. Indian Overseas Bank and Union Bank of India can import only gold.
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 & 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2023, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Part A and B under Appendix 4B of Handbook of Procedure, 2023:
