The DGFT vide Notification No. 13/2025-26 dated May 26, 2025, amends the import policy for certain items under Chapter 73 of ITC (HS), 2022. Effective immediately, imports of roller chains and parts thereof under ITC(HS) codes 73151100, 73151900, and 73159000 are now restricted if their CIF value is below Rs. 235 per kilogram. Previously, these items were freely importable without conditions. The change aims to regulate low-value imports in this category while maintaining free import for items above the specified threshold.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Policy Condition of items covered under specific HS codes of Chapter 73 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy), with immediate effect, as under:
