DGFT Notifies Rationalisation of RoDTEP Rates

The Government of India has announced a major change in the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) Scheme through Notification No. 60/2025-26 dated February 23, 2026, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).

As per the notification, the Central Government has rationalised the RoDTEP rates for all HS lines by reducing them to 50% of the existing notified rates, and wherever value caps were applicable, these too have been limited to 50% of the earlier notified caps.

The revised rates take effect immediately. This decision has been issued under the powers granted by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, read with Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023.

The notification states that the effect of this policy change is to restrict RoDTEP benefits to half of the previously notified rates and value caps. The measure aims to streamline export incentives and ensure balanced fiscal management while continuing to support exporters.

The notification has been issued with the approval of the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry.
