The Customs Department has revoked the suspension of Dronagiri Rail Terminal (DRT), a container freight station run by state-owned Container Corporation of India Ltd near Jawaharlal Nehru Port.
The revocation restores the approval granted to CONCOR-DRT CFS as Customs Cargo Service Provider (CCSP), the Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House wrote in an August 11 public notice.
This allows the CONCOR-DRT CFS to resume normal operations as Customs Cargo Service Provider with immediate effect, the public notice said.
The Customs Department suspended the Customs Cargo Service Provider approval granted to CONCOR-DRT CFS on July 22.
The DRT, run by CONCOR, spread across 59 acres, handles some 14,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) a month.
The Dronagiri CFS has three rail lines, and the facility runs 90-100 rakes a month. It has export-import warehousing capacity of 35,640 sq metres, domestic warehousing of 4,200 sq metres and bonded warehousing of 2,000 sq metres.
