The Coimbatore Corporation has registered an impressive tax collection of ₹464.71 crore compared to the previous year’s collection of ₹462.21 crore, thus exceeding the target. Even by conservative estimates, the tax collection should be approximately 95 per cent.
The Coimbatore Corporation North Zone registered 92.12 per cent, East Zone recorded 91.30 per cent, West Zone 90.88, Central Zone 87.99 per cent and South Zone registered 87.25.
This entitled a grant of ₹110 crore incentive from the Union Government and ₹1 crore incentive from the State Government.
