The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), through Notification No. 02/2025 dated August 01, 2025, invokes the powers under the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution. The Central Government declares that, effective from 1st August 2025, the tenure of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, or Member of the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission shall end, as stipulated under the third proviso to Rule 7 of the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Chairman, Vice-Chairmen, and Members) Rules, 2015.
