The CBIC issued Instruction No. 18/2025-Customs dated June 20, 2025, amending the import policy for items under ITC(HS) Code 2843 (colloidal precious metals and related compounds). As per DGFT Notification No. 19/2025-26 dated 17.06.2025, the import policy for these items has changed from “Free” to “Restricted” with immediate effect. Officers are directed to be informed and take necessary action to enforce this revised policy under their jurisdiction.
Reference is invited to the Notification No. 19/2025-26 dated 17.06.2025 issued by the DGFT, Department of Commerce on the above subject.
Vide the above Notification No. 19/2025-26 dated 17.06.2025, the Import Policy of the following ITC(HS) codes has been amended as under:

Effect of the above Notification: The Import Policy of items covered under CTH 2843 is revised from “Free” to “Restricted”, with immediate effect.
