
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), GST Policy Wing, has informed the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs that it has no legislative or non-legislative business for the forthcoming Budget Session 2026. The information was submitted through an Office Memorandum issued by the GST Policy Wing on January 15, 2026, Kartavya Bhavan-I, New Delhi.
In response to the MPA’s request seeking details of Bills and government business for the session, CBIC reported “NIL” under Part-I: Legislative Business, indicating that no GST, Customs, or indirect tax Bills are proposed for introduction, consideration, or passage during the session.
Similarly, Part-II: Non-Legislative Business also records “NIL”, confirming that no reports or matters of public importance related to indirect taxes are scheduled to be presented in Parliament.
The Office Memorandum has been issued with the approval of the Competent Authority and signed by Prashant Sharma, Deputy Commissioner (GST).
