The Union Government of India has released ₹1,73,030 crore as tax devolution to state governments in January 2025, significantly higher than the ₹89,086 crore released in December 2024. This enhanced allocation aims to boost capital spending and support state development and welfare initiatives. The document provides a state-wise breakdown of the funds allocated, with Uttar Pradesh receiving the highest amount of ₹31,039.84 crore, followed by Bihar with ₹17,403.36 crore and West Bengal with ₹13,017.06 crore.
