Godavari Biorefineries Limited has received the Demand Notice received from the authority for Non-Payment of Goods and Service Tax on clearance of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) for the period from July, 2017 to March 2021, according to the Company’s exchange filing.
The Authority demand ₹ 46,84,49,910 as non-payment of GST and ₹ 46,84,49,910 as penalty on clearance of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) for the period from July, 2017 to March 2021.
The Company is likely to challenge the order before an appropriate authority.” The Company has merit and evaluating the demand to take appropriate actions in due course with the Authority,” Godavari Biorefineries said in the exchange filing.
The Company received order on January 3, 2025.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
