Tripura Achieves Highest GST Revenue Growth in India: CM Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, while addressing a gathering at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, proudly announced that Tripura has recorded the highest growth percentage in GST revenue among all Indian states. The state’s GST revenue increased by 21%, rising from ₹85 crores in February 2024 to ₹103 crores in February 2025.

CM Dr. Saha attributed this remarkable achievement to transparent governance, business-friendly policies, and the efficient implementation of tax reforms. He emphasized that Tripura’s robust financial management and economic policies are setting new benchmarks at the national level.

According to Chief minister Dr Saha, Tripura’s 21% GST revenue growth is the highest in India, surpassing many larger states. The Chief Minister highlighted that this milestone reflects the state’s rapid economic development, improved tax compliance, and enhanced business environment.

He further stated, “Tripura is progressing in all sectors, and this GST growth is a testament to our state’s economic potential. Our government is committed to ensuring continued financial stability and industrial growth.”

With Tripura’s GST collection reaching ₹103 crores, the government is optimistic about further strengthening its revenue generation. CM Dr. Manik Saha also credited business-friendly initiatives, infrastructure development, and digital reforms for this success.

The event was attended by top officials, ministers, and industry representatives, who acknowledged the government’s role in promoting ease of doing business and ensuring a progressive taxation system.
