The GSTN, vide Advisory No. 679 dated 28 October 2026, had announced scheduled maintenance of e-Invoice services from 31 October 2026 (9:00 AM) to 1 November 2026 (1:00 PM IST), affecting e-Invoice data retrieval, auto-population in GSTR-1 and JSON downloads.
Surprisingly, the said advisory now appears to have been removed from the GST Portal, and the original advisory link is showing a system error. (Screenshots attached)
❓ The BIG QUESTION is:
Does this mean that the scheduled maintenance of e-Invoice services has been CANCELLED or POSTPONED? Or has the advisory been removed due to some technical issue?
⚠️ GSTN is requested to issue an immediate clarification on whether the scheduled maintenance will take place as originally announced.
This clarification is essential to avoid confusion and enable taxpayers, businesses and GST professionals to plan their compliance activities accordingly.
An urgent clarification from GSTN would be highly appreciated in the interest of taxpayers and trade.
