The Goods and Services Tax Council has revised the schedule for its 57th Meeting, from September 12, 2026, which will now be held in New Delhi on Wednesday, 07 October 2026, from 11:00 A.M. onwards. The revised schedule has been communicated through Office Memorandum F.No. 1392/57th GSTCM/GSTC/2026 dated 06.09.2026.
Earlier, the 57th Meeting of the GST Council was scheduled to be held on 12 September 2026 in New Delhi, preceded by the Officers’ Meeting on 10 and 11 September 2026, as communicated through the Office Memoranda dated 28 August 2026 and 02 September 2026. The latest Office Memorandum supersedes the earlier meeting schedule to the extent of the revised dates.
The Officers’ Meeting preceding the 57th GST Council Meeting has also been rescheduled. It will now be held in New Delhi on Monday, 05 October 2026, from 03:00 P.M. onwards, and on Tuesday, 06 October 2026, from 10:30 A.M. onwards.
The GST Council Secretariat has stated that the venue details and final agenda items for both the 57th Meeting of the GST Council and the Officers’ Meeting will be communicated separately in due course.
The revised schedule is being conveyed to the Hon’ble Members of the GST Council for their participation in the meeting. The communication has been issued by Shri Arvind Shrivastava, Secretary to the Government of India and ex-officio Secretary to the GST Council.
