Mahindra Holidays receives ₹11.34-cr GST demand notice

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited on Wednesday said it has received a notice from the Dehradun GST authority demanding nearly ₹11.34 crore for alleged shortfall in tax payments across four financial years.

In a regulatory filing, the company said it does not expect the show cause notice to have any material financial impact and is taking appropriate steps to pursue legal remedies before the Additional/Joint Commissioner, Central GST Audit, Commissionerate, Dehradun.

“The company has received show cause notice from the authority via email dated 25 August 2026, demanding an amount of ₹11,33,69,421 in aggregate for FY 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 & 2023-24 (including tax of ₹11,33,19,421 and penalty of ₹50,000) as applicable under provisions of Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 & Central Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017 primarily on account of short payment of tax on supply of services in Uttarakhand, short payment of tax due to difference in turnover, etc.,” Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited informed in the filing.
