Tirunelveli Central Sub-Commissionerate GST revenue in last fiscal stands at ₹1,112 crore

The Tirunelveli Central Goods and Service Taxes Sub-Commissionerate has generated a revenue of ₹1,112 crore in the last fiscal that ended in March 2026, Additional Commissioner of Goods and Service Tax, Tirunelveli, N. Kavitha has said.

Addressing the Independence Day celebrations held at the Central Goods and Services Tax office in NGO ‘A’ Colony here on Saturday, Ms. Kavitha said the dedicated efforts of the officers of the Tirunelveli Central Sub-Commissionerate had resulted in the revenue generation of ₹1,112 crore during the financial year 2025 – 2026, surpassing the last fiscal’s revenue of ₹1,083 crore. The steady improvement in revenue performance was due to the highly dedicated team of officers of GST in the sub-commissionerate.

She also informed the gathering that the positive trend in revenue generation continued during the first quarter of the current fiscal as ₹326 crore had been collected as GST between April and July 2026, which stood only at ₹312 crore during the corresponding period last year. “I sincerely appreciate the concerted efforts of our officers and the staff in augmenting the GST revenue for nation building. I am confident that this continued momentum will certainly ensure better performance in the coming months,” Ms. Kavitha said.

She hoisted the national flag and accepted the guard of honour of the officers.
