The information was provided in a written reply to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 100, titled “SGST and IGST Settlements and Special Assistance to Andhra Pradesh.”

During Financial Year 2025–26, Andhra Pradesh received ₹15,211 crore in SGST and ₹19,090 crore through IGST settlement. The quarterly total stood at ₹7,979 crore in Q1, ₹8,696 crore in Q2, ₹8,370 crore in Q3 and ₹9,256 crore in Q4.

In comparison, the State received a total GST settlement of ₹33,301 crore during Financial Year 2024–25, comprising ₹14,488 crore in SGST and ₹18,813 crore in IGST settlement.

The Minister stated that Andhra Pradesh’s post-settlement GST revenue increased from ₹31,606 crore in 2023–24 to ₹33,301 crore in 2024–25 and ₹34,301 crore in 2025–26. However, the State’s GST-to-GSDP ratio declined from 2.2 per cent in 2023–24 to 2.1 per cent in 2024–25 and 1.9 per cent in 2025–26.

The Government also informed the Lok Sabha that no macro-fiscal study has been conducted so far on the impact of the discontinuation of welfare schemes in Andhra Pradesh on household consumption demand or SGST collections from retail, food and consumer-goods sectors.

On the issue of special assistance, the Minister stated that the Finance Commission consults State Governments before finalising its report. The views of States on vertical devolution and details of consultations have been covered in the 16th Finance Commission Report. Grants-in-aid are released to State Governments on the basis of the accepted recommendations of successive Finance Commissions.
