The Karnataka Government vide Notification dated February 15, 2025, reconstituted the Search-cum-Selection Committee on February 15, 2025, to recommend names for appointing Technical Members to the GST Appellate Tribunal for State Benches. This move followed the retirement and transfer of previous members. The new committee, chaired by the Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka, includes Smt. S. Sujatha, the Chief Secretary, Dr. Ekroop Caur, and the Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department. The committee will continue the selection process from where the previous one left off, following the same procedure outlined in Notification No. FD 76 CSL 2023 dated June 15, 2024.
Consequent upon retirement of the Member Secretary on superannuation and transfer of Member Mr. Ritesh Kumar Singh as Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department, the Government of Karnataka in exercise of powers conferred under subsection (4) of Section 110 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (No. 12 of 2017) read with Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (Appointment and Conditions of Service of President and Members) Rules, 2023, hereby re-constitutes the Search-cum-Selection Committee constituted earlier vide Notification No. FD 76 CSL 2023 dated:15.06.2024 with the following composition to recommend a panel of four (04) names for appointing two (02) posts of Technical Member (State) to Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal to the two (02) State Benches in Bengaluru, Karnataka State:

The re-constituted Search-cum-Selection Committee shall continue the work from the stage at which the selection process was left by the previous Search-cum Selection Committee.
The selection procedure in selecting the posts of Technical Members (State) detailed in the earlier Notification No. FD 76 CSL 2023 dated:15.06.2024 remains unaltered.
