The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Department of Trade & Taxes (Policy Branch), has issued an Order vide No. F.4/Notification/Member/DAAR/DT&T/2026/206 dated May 14, 2026, nominating a member of the State Government in the Delhi Authority for Advance Ruling (DAAR).
In exercise of the powers conferred vide Notification No. F. No. 3(24)/Fin (Exp-I)/2024-25/DSI/116 dated 30.01.2025 issued by the Finance Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, the Commissioner (State Tax) has nominated Sh. Santosh Kumar Rai, IAS, Special Commissioner-I, as a member of the State Government in the Delhi Authority for Advance Ruling (DAAR).
The Authority for Advance Ruling (AAR) under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) framework provides clarity to taxpayers on matters relating to the supply of goods or services, applicability of GST, classification, valuation, admissibility of input tax credit, and determination of tax liability, thereby ensuring certainty and reducing avoidable litigation. The said nomination shall enable smooth and effective functioning of the Delhi Authority for Advance Ruling.
The Order has been issued under the signature of Sh. Nikhil Kumar, IAS, Commissioner (State Tax), Department of Trade & Taxes, Government of NCT of Delhi, and has been forwarded to all concerned officers of the Department for information and necessary action, including uploading on the official website of the Department.
