The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has issued Office Order No. 31/2026 dated 27th February 2026, notifying the revised allocation of charges among its Members following the appointment of Shri Abhai Kumar Srivastav and Shri Sanjay Mangal as Members of the Board.
As per the order, Shri Vivek Chaturvedi, Chairman, will supervise all Members along with major Directorates including DGRI, DGGI, DGARM, DG Audit, PAC, CESTAT (A.R.) and Legal Affairs.
Shri Surjit Bhujabal, Member (Compliance Management & Legal), will oversee Preventive Zones and part of the South Region, including Tiruchirappalli, Patna, Delhi, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
Shri Mohan Kumar Singh, Member (IT, Taxpayer Services & Technology), is entrusted with Directorates of Systems & Data Management, Taxpayer Services, Logistics and the entire West Region.
Shri Yogendra Garg, Member (Customs), will supervise export promotion, valuation, advance ruling, customs laboratories and the Central Region comprising Lucknow, Meerut, Bhopal and Nagpur.
Shri Abhai Kumar Srivastav, Member (Administration & Vigilance), will oversee NACIN, Vigilance, HRD, Performance Management and the East Region—Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Ranchi.
Shri Sanjay Mangal, Member (GST, Central Excise, Service Tax & Tax Policy), will supervise DG Goods & Services Tax, DG Anti-Profiteering, the North Region and part of the South Region including Bengaluru and Chennai.
The revised allocation will remain in force until further orders, and copies of the order have been circulated to all concerned authorities for compliance and record.
