Vodafone Idea Limited has received an Order passed under Section 74 of Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017/Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act 2017, confirming a penalty of ₹ 16,96,94,250/- along with demand and interest as applicable, according to the exchange filing.
The matter relates to the alleged non-payment of GST under the reverse charge mechanism.
The company is likely to challenge the order before an appropriate authority. “The Company does not agree with the Order and will take appropriate action(s) against the same,” Vodafone Idea said in their regulatory filing.
The company received the order on February 4, 2025.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
