
The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has announced a significant enhancement to taxpayer convenience by enabling GST payments through UPI and Debit/Credit Cards. This initiative is aimed at simplifying the tax-payment experience and promoting seamless digital transactions across the country.
As per the latest update on December 03, 2025, the GST payment facility through UPI and Credit/Debit cards is now also available in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
With this addition, the service is presently functioning in 28 States/Union Territories, and rollout to the remaining States and banking partners will be undertaken shortly.
Salient Features of the Newly Enabled Payment Modes
- Taxpayers can now pay GST instantly via Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
- Credit/Debit Cards powered by Rupay, MasterCard, Visa and Diners are now accepted for GST payments.

Citizen Awareness
Taxpayers can access the payment service via the GST Portal (www.gst.gov.in) by selecting UPI / Credit Card / Debit Card options during challan payment.
Further updates will be communicated as additional banks and States become active under the facility.
