
The Centre’s Export Promotion Mission (EPM) is designed to give a fillip to MSME exports, a senior official told a programme the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) organised in Karimnagar on Thursday.
It provides a digitally driven, comprehensive and flexible framework to meet contemporary trade needs and align export support with dynamic global conditions, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade S.A. Chavan said, addressing the programme on export opportunities and how to start an export business.
The senior official highlighted DGFT’s role in promoting exports by formulating and implementing the Foreign Trade Policy, issuing licenses, providing trade facilitation and offering export incentives to support businesses in navigating international trade complexities. FIEO had organised the programme with the support of DGFT, ECGC and SBI to create awareness of export policy and schemes, export finance and educate on international credit risk mitigation.
President of Rice Millers Association, Karimnagar district, said Telangana has consolidated its position as the top rice-producing State in India. He also highlighted issues concerning rice milling industry and sought early intervention of the officials, for resolving the same.
District Industries Centre General Manager said Karimnagar is a strategic industrial hub and well connected to major cities and transportation hubs.
