The DGFT vide Notification No. 48/2025-26 dated November 17, 2025 imposes immediate restriction on importing gold, silver, and unstudded platinum jewellery, as well as their parts, under ITC(HS) 7113, 7113 19, and 7113 1921, effective November 17, 2025, till April 30, 2026.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Import Policy of ITC HS 71131921 covered under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy), with immediate effect till 30.04.2026 as under:

Effect of the Notification:
The Import Policy of ITC HS 71131921 covered under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy) is revised from “Free” to “Restricted”, with immediate effect till 30.04.2026.
