Examination of tax-related documents in establishments
According to information, the Central GST department team raided Agarwal Dhaba located on Cool Road in Jalandhar at around 8 am on Tuesday. After this, the team is examining tax-related documents in the dhaba and its associated establishments. According to officials, the dhaba operator was suspected of large-scale tax evasion, based on which this action was taken.
Under the leadership of Superintendent Kulwant Rai, the team also raided the dhaba and owner’s residence. During this, the cash was recovered. The departmental officer who came out during the raid said that the case is related to tax evasion and many irregularities have been found in the records. He said that detailed information will be given to the media by senior officials of the department after the complete investigation.
2 mobile phones sealed
According to an officer involved in the investigation, the team reached Agrawal Dhaba around 8 am, so far about 3 crore rupees cash has been found in the investigation, all the cash was found from their residence. Apart from this, some documents have been found from the house, which are being investigated. Along with this, 1-2 mobiles have also been sealed, these will be investigated on Wednesday.
